Feel like you're supposed to be grateful… but you're barely holding it together?

Maybe you thought this stage of life would feel joyful or at least manageable. But instead, you’re riding waves of anxiety, irritability, guilt, or sadness that don’t make sense to anyone else. You might feel disconnected from your body, your partner, or even your baby. Maybe you’re grieving who you used to be, or wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.

You’re not dramatic. You’re not failing. And you’re definitely not alone.

At ReFresh Psychotherapy, we offer honest, non-judgmental support for the emotional realities of pregnancy and new parenthood because what you’re feeling is valid, and what you need matters.

Perinatal & Postpartum Support

What Our Programs Help With

Pregnancy and postpartum can bring some of the most emotionally intense moments of your life. At ReFresh Psychotherapy, we’ve created supportive, short-term therapy programs designed specifically for the perinatal and postpartum stages. Whether you’re expecting your first baby or adjusting to life after birth, these programs offer compassionate, evidence-based support for managing anxiety, identity shifts, relationship challenges, intrusive thoughts, and more.

Our perinatal and postpartum therapy programs in Toronto are delivered by trained mental health professionals and available both in person and online across Ontario. You’ll gain real tools to help you feel more grounded, less overwhelmed, and more connected to yourself, your baby, and the people around you.

Understand and work through intense feelings like anxiety, anger, irritability, sadness, or numbness so they don’t take over your day or define your experience of parenthood.
Pregnancy and postpartum can shift how you see yourself. These sessions help you explore who you are now, reconnect with your values, and make space for the new version of you.
If you are feeling shame about how you are coping or struggling with scary or unwanted thoughts, you are not alone. We will explore these experiences without judgment and build safer ways to respond.
Learn practical strategies for managing overstimulation, decision fatigue, and exhaustion so you can make space for your own wellbeing alongside your baby’s.
If you are carrying trauma, grief, or disappointment around birth or postpartum recovery, we offer space to process those experiences at your pace only if and when it feels helpful.
Whether this is your first baby or your third, these programs help you adjust to changing roles, expectations, and dynamics in your family, career, or identity.
This is a space where you do not have to pretend everything is fine. We offer real talk, emotional validation, and tools to help you feel seen and supported exactly as you are.

Yes. Especially in the Perinatal Program, we offer compassionate support for individuals navigating pregnancy after loss or fertility treatment. Your experience and emotions are welcome here.
