Feeling stuck in who you are can happen even when things seem to be going well on the outside. You may have spent time thinking things through and trying to understand why you feel the way you do, but something still doesn’t quite click. There can be a sense of anxiety, disconnection, or uncertainty in relationships, alongside a desire for a clearer sense of yourself and how you want to live.
I am currently completing my Master’s in Psychotherapy at the University of Guelph, where I practiced as a therapist intern at the Maplewoods Centre for Family Therapy and Child Psychology for a year before joining ReFresh Psychotherapy. I support students and adults navigating questions of identity, relationships, and life transitions—often those who appear to be functioning well on the outside, but feel stuck or uncertain beneath the surface, and may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relational conflict, or difficulty adjusting to change.
My approach is shaped by a curiosity about how you make sense of your experiences. Sessions tend to feel reflective and fluid—I ask thoughtful questions, check in throughout, and stay closely attuned to what feels most meaningful to you. Rather than following a fixed agenda or offering quick answers, I focus on helping you understand your experiences in context. I pay particular attention to patterns, connecting what comes up in the moment with themes that develop over time, so things can begin to feel more clear and cohesive.
In our work together, we might explore how you understand yourself within your relationships, notice patterns that feel difficult to shift, and make sense of moments where you feel stuck. We’ll also build on what is already working in your life in a way that feels grounded and realistic.
Clients often leave sessions having made connections they hadn’t considered before, with a stronger sense of themselves, their relationships, and what feels meaningful to them.
If this resonates, I welcome you to book a free consultation and see if working together feels like a good fit.
As a therapist intern, I offer sessions at a reduced rate and practice under the clinical supervision of Tracy Wilder, RP, Founder and Clinical Director of ReFresh Psychotherapy. This means my work is supported within a thoughtful and collaborative clinical environment, while I remain committed to ongoing learning, reflection, and providing ethical, compassionate care.
A newsletter from ReFresh Psychotherapy sent every two months, offering practical mental health tools, thoughtful insights from the therapy room, and resources you can actually use.
